Segmentum Tempestus (5 sub-boards) The Segmentum Tempestus is located to the galactic south of Segmentum Solar. The Segmentum Naval Base is located on Bakka.
It contains two Ork homeworlds, V'run and Jurn. It is most famous for its participation in the battles against Hive Fleet Leviathan.
Ultima Segmentum (21 sub-boards) The Ultima Segmentum is home to many worlds as it is the largest segmentum in the Imperium. It contains the Ultramarines empire of Ultramar. The Segmentum Naval Base is Kar Duniash.
It has seen attacks by two seperate Tyranid Hive Fleets, Hive Fleet Behemoth and Hive Fleet Kraken. It also contains the Storm of the Emperor's Wrath, a warp-real space convergence, much like the Eye of Terror but on a smaller scale. It also contains the Maelstrom, another warp-real space convergence point, which is used by various traitors as a hiding place and a launch platform for raids.
Segmentum Solar (13 sub-boards) Segmentum Solar is the region of Imperial space containing Holy Terra. The Segmentum Imperial Naval Base is Mars, along with the home of the Adeptus Mechanicus and most of the offices that make the Imperium run.
Segmentum Obscurus (14 sub-boards) Segmentum Obscurus is to the north of Holy Terra and is home to many of the Imperium's problems. The Segmentum Naval Base is located at Cypra Mundi and it is home to many other notable planets.
Like the Segmentum Pacificus, it has had no contact with the Tyranids in the history of the Imperium, but a creature on the planet Fenris, the Kraken, has been hypothesised to be part of a failed Tyranid invasion force many millenia ago.
Segmentum Pacificus (13 sub-boards) The Segmentum Pacificus is the westernmost region of the Imperium. It contains many minor planets, along with the major planet of Macharia. The Imperial Naval Base is Hydraphur and is located to the north of the region.
The Sengmentum Pacificus borders on the Segmentum Tempestus, Segmentum Solar and Segmentum Obscurus.
This is the region in which the great Macharian Crusade took part. Over a thousand worlds were conquered in seven years, going from Macharia to Ultima Macharia, outside of the segmentum among the Halo Worlds.
