Posul is a Feral World, shrouded in perpetual darkness located in the Segmentum Tempestus. It is the homeworld to the Mortifactors Space Marine Chapter and is inhabited by fierce nomadic tribes that are known to practice cannibalism.

These tribes are in constant combat with each other. They are known to eat the flesh of their slain enemies and ritually gain their strength from this barbaric practice. The strongest of the warriors are recruited into the Mortifactors by the Chaplains of the chapter

Krieg is the homeworld of the Imperial Guard army the Death Korps of Krieg, described as loyal, native forces .

The planet was orignally a loyal planet, but the Autarch of the planet declared independence from the Imperium and renounced the Emperor in 433.M39. This appalled the commander of the Krieg 33rd, Colonel Jurten, who unleashed a campaign of atomic cleansing that lasted for 500 years .

The effect of this form of warfare would be to turn Krieg into a Death World. The conditions are very poor, and the population are forced to wear air filtration systems wherever they go.

Gryphonne IV was a major Adeptus Mechanicus Forge World until Hive Fleet Leviathan overcame it. The home of the War Griffons Titan Legion, Gryphonne IV has also been responsible for designing many of the Imperial Guard's vehicles (see Forgeworld for Gryphonne IV tank variants). Although now a Dead World, the fact that the Tyranids do not consider buildings to be as important as other races means that Gryphonne IV could be reclaimed by the Adeptus Mechanicus.
